I’ve spent seven years writing in voices that aren’t mine, professionally, on purpose and increasingly often. As a Public Relations Specialist in my day job, I direct statewide press strategy across over 100 entities, ghostwrite for C-suite executives and manage a grant program that’s brought in half a million dollars to date. That’s the anchor client, but it isn’t the whole picture.

Since 2019, the year I graduated from Christendom College with a B.A. in English Language and Literature, I’ve written in the voice of more than 30 executives and leaders across dioceses, nonprofits and corporate organizations, moving fluently between mission-driven, legal, technical and C-suite registers depending on who I’m standing in for that week. My byline has appeared in The Post and Courier, The Broken Binnacle, The Catholic Miscellany and The Star Magazine, and demand for that range keeps growing, which is exactly why Jostwriter.com exists as its own thing now. I’m also grant writing certified through the University of South Carolina and a multiple-time Catholic Media Association award recipient.

Outside of work, I write fiction of my own, chase trailheads and passport stamps whenever I can, play bullet and blitz chess online, and try to get back to Kenya as often as possible to see family there. Most of what actually keeps me grounded, though, happens at home, being a husband and father first and a writer second.
